Having enjoyed the arts for years, there came a day when I
decided to quit looking at the canvasses and instead become a part of
them. Inspired by an aunt to start painting, I attended an
"Introduction to Art" class offered by the local school
district. After joining the Paletteers Art Club, I began attending classes
and workshops conducted by well known local and national artists. Kindling
the desire to promote the arts, I was elected as President of the Paletteers Art
Club and served in that capacity for eight years. My involvement in
the promotion of the fine arts includes putting on art shows, working on a
public school mural, and organizing workshops for many artists.
