As a native of Colorado, my art is an
attempt to create a simple pattern of shapes and light from Nature's
complexities or the tenderness of a child's smile. It is not an imitation,
but an illusion of harmonious bright colors emphasizing values to moods.
I have been accepted in many juried shows,
receiving awards and ribbons. I also have a permanent display at Eldora
Ski Area, and Peak National Bank.
I enjoy painting family portraits, and have
been commissioned for works such as the following:
Dad tele-mark skiing, Mom cross country
skiing, each of these with the background of their favorite ski area.
Two daughters ski racing.
Also, portraits of family members with their pets done on gray
toned paper with three values, white, gray and dark conte pastel.
Current Goal: I strive to work and study with
patience, so that the ability to express myself through painting will grow
naturally in a manner very similar to the way our individual personalities are
developed.
