A
full-time professional artist, Jane Wunder, started drawing and painting at an
early age and is very versatile in her mediums. Through
the years she has developed her own unique style. Her
favorite subjects are the
Rocky Mountains
and the
Snowy
Range
area in
Colorado
and
Wyoming
.
"I just can't get enough of
the Rocky Mountain region," she said at a recent interview.
This
explains why she makes her home in
Denver
,
Colorado
with the front
range of the
Rocky Mountains
as a backdrop. She
also enjoys spending time with her husband and two dogs in their cabin retreat
in the heart of the
Rocky Mountains
.
Jane
has been teaching her painting and pastel drawing techniques throughout the
Midwest
for community
colleges and in private workshops since 1979.
She has published five how-to books on color pencil drawing, watercolor,
and pen/ink techniques through Susan Scheewe; national author and publisher. She
has also written articles on colored pencil drawing techniques in nationally
recognized magazines; Tole World and Decorative Painter.
Jane’s
work can be seen at various locations through Shows on Loan Organization and the
Paletteers Art Club in the
Denver
area.
Mrs. Wunder has won various awards for her watercolors and pastels.
Currently
her work is being presented at Deslems Fine Art Gallery in
Cheyenne,
Wyoming
and at Red Canyon
Art Co. Lyons, Colorado.
